OOOOOoooooooK...
I would LOVE to know why Saggies find Virgos so attractive. 'cause every Virgo I've ever met and found interesting has driven me absolutely BONKERS after 6 months. They are maddening...and I want them to GO AWAY...*growls*
Take for instance my roommate's fiancee. He's a nice guy and someone that I know I could call a friend (if I had to). But DAAAAAMN...he's the epitome of everything about a Virgo I canNOT stand. And all I want to do is push him out of the apartment screaming like a madman...just to make him go away...*UGH*

Well, u see that's the thing....
I have realized that it seems to be primarily a physical attraction thing..
I'm very ofetn immediately physically attracted to the Virgs.
BUT.. once u try to take it further than that, over time... Sage + Virg doesn't work long term... -

Re: What's With Virgos?
Sat, July 29, 2006 - 6:27 PMwhy is that? is it their critisism and detail nitpicking that drives you mad? the attraction might be because youre mutable signs. aries is a cardinal sign. but cardinal signs like aries and cancer dont go to well together even though there is attraction between the signs. so for sags and virgos, it might be the mutable thing that get you attracted to each other.

Re: What's With Virgos?
Mon, July 31, 2006 - 6:02 PMHow come it never happens to me. Aside from the physical attraction, I just can't deal with their constant mood swing, criticism, & perfectionism.( Guess I am the only male Sag here). Dear lord, lucky for me, I usually dodge the attraction very well.

Re: What's With Virgos?
Mon, July 31, 2006 - 9:13 PMI get along with Virgos up to a point. I am not usually attracted physically though, so that gives me a sense of control. I had one Virgo friend who I used to answer in a whiny voice "Just shut uuuuuuppp!!!!!!!!" or "who cares?????" "yeah, whatever" to the nit picky comments. Otherwise I like having conversations with them, I like where their logic goes.

Re: What's With Virgos?
Sun, August 27, 2006 - 10:20 PMOh my God! I can't believe you have written this!!!!!!
THIS IS THE QUESTION I VE PONDERING ON FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS
My first love was August 27, followed by first real boyfriend born on Sep. 9, the line of later interests continues with almost entire calendar span of that sun sign. WHY? POCHEMU? Pourquoi?
Always a steamy initial contact or heavy crush followed by later realization that we are so damn incompetible we shouldn't be even be withing the same circle of friends. SOOOO DIFFERENT but so attractive. Hot initial spark never compensates frustrating sometimes violent ending. Since moving to LA I have met 4(!!) September 10 born people all very cool apriori but after first 2, I don't come close to the other ones.
To conclude,
I will support you on everything you stated in your post. -

Re: What's With Virgos?
Mon, August 28, 2006 - 11:00 AMI think the mutable saggie in me thinks there "must be something we have in common" when I meet a Virgo. And we do -- I have three planets conjunct in Virgo and can pick the fly speck out of pepper at 50 paces. It's just that, being a Sag/Leo rising I don't WANT to. I EXPECT them to be hypochondriacs, and to pick apart every detail of my personality that they are trying to deny in themselves. That way they don't dissapoint. Dear ol' dad is a Virgo, so as far as the attraction goes, I know to step-away-from-the-loaded-gun.
But they also have good analytical minds, and if you can get one to focus on your project they can often see a detail we Saggies have rushed right over. The trick is just being able to take that critique without getting/hearing a lot of personal criticism!
I just worked the Eugene Glass School "Flame-Off" event (competitive glass blowing) and found several of the best lampworkers are Virgos because they are great at detail. But the fire signs were the ones who were TRULY in their element, cranking up the flames and having a BLAST!

Tue, April 22, 2008 - 9:11 PM"Always a steamy initial contact or heavy crush followed by later realization that we are so damn incompetible we shouldn't be even be withing the same circle of friends."
Yes! My two biggest (most passionate/heartbreaking) crushes have been on Virgos, where they had an obvious attraction to me as well, but it just never worked out--we never got together. Then, as you said, I realized how impossibly different we are, anyway.
I didn't realize it was typical of Sags though (to have these attractions to Virgos). I thought maybe it was because I was Virgo rising.
I assumed that Sag being square to Virgo and all, it would negate any attraction between most Sags and Virgos, and so I thought I was an anomaly... but I guess the square just creates some sexy sexual tension that, in the end, doesn't pan out.
p.s. today i came in contact with a guy who I'm *positive" is a Virgo... and yes, bingo, this odd instantaneous attraction. (I asked the Tarot later if I was right--and pulled the Knight of Pentacles... which, if you read Tarot, is like the card that means "Virgo heartthrob). I dunno... Virgos can be nit-picky and grumpy and whatnot, but even so, they're really hot to me, and I have this feeling that they would be very comforting lovers. :)

Re: What's With Virgos?
Wed, November 14, 2007 - 10:01 AM4 months into being with the first virgo i have ever dated and so far so good. its had its moments because im scarred and damaged from all the PISCES that fucked me up in the past and i have trust issues now... and hes been hurt in the past too
but back to where i was originally going...
hes got 3 planets in virgo, sun, rising, and venus.
i always thought virgoes were supposed to be anal, critical.
hes more spontaneous than i am, hes funny as hell, and the way his mind works just fascinates me and gets me googly eyed.
there is definitely a physical attraction but we also get along really well like friends...
i dunno...hehe..according to astro.com when i did a partner chart, we have all kinds of things working in our favor for a really great love relationship...
kind of refreshing after all the "youre just doomed" results i would get from the partner charts i did on my last pisces boyfriend.
hehe -

Re: What's With Virgos?
Tue, April 22, 2008 - 9:13 PMMaybe he's learned to sort of tame some of the negative Virgo energy that puts people off?
There *has* to be some placement of aspect in his chart, though, too... something that counteracts his "virgo"-ness.

Re: What's With Virgos?
Sun, April 20, 2008 - 7:49 PMI have had a LOT of experience with Virgos and Pisces. A Sag never appears wise to a Virgo, but yet Virgos are attracted to Sags because of all the potential they see (pretty condescending if you ask me). Somehow Virgos are beyond reproach because their perfectionism makes them impeccable before the public eye. This is similar to Pisces - but where as a Pisces refers you to her genius as an excuse for licentiousness, a Virgo refers you to his impeccability. This way a Virgo can get away with being an authority. A Sag doesn't want to be an authority, his truth will do it for him. A Sag's genius comes to him from beyond, from heaven. He doesn't want to be a genius. Since he isn't looking for anything besides doors to the infinite a Sag looks like a slob to a Virgo and an idiot to a Pisces. Sags don't look for imperfections or faults in intelligence and thus they are left with their mouths hanging open spitting gibberish before their respective squares, Virgo and Pisces. -

Re: What's With Virgos?
Wed, April 23, 2008 - 1:51 PMwhy is the sag/virgo attraction so strong, but not the pisces/sag attraction... if the squaring of the signs has something to do with it? -

Re: What's With Virgos?

Re: What's With Virgos?
Mon, April 21, 2008 - 12:40 PMAt first I really love how precise and expansively detailed virgo's can be within a single train of thought! it fascinates me, they are like alien creatures with their ability to focus and concentrate. Later the thought trains become diatribes that have no passion for me to sink my teeth into and i get frustrated by their outpours. lol, okay maybe i'm thinking of someone in particular. -

Re: What's With Virgos?
Mon, April 21, 2008 - 1:10 PM
I am still curious about the initial, immediate physical attraction thing, tho....
TIME after TIME.., when i get that internal lighting bolt of "MUST SLEEP WITH YOU" - i often find out afterward that they are a Virgo.......freaks me out a bit......
The one relationship i actually had with one- that did last for 5 1/2 rocky, unhealthy years (over 10 years ago...), there's still residue left in my heart (not ALL of it bad, mind u- the good were some of my best ever)...... -

it doesnt feel right to be with anyone else...
crazy

Re: What's With Virgos?
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 12:55 PMwow, this too has happened to me many times, and despite the initial sexual rush, it seems like in the end they are always too stuffy and not exciting enough for me as a sagg, and they end up realizing i'm way too flighty and unpredictable for them, too bad! -
-
Re: What's With Virgos?
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 8:13 PMi've never actually been able to get into a relationship with one of the buggers. intense, unrequited love. not unreturned, but unrequited.
my virgo rising makes me think that it could work with me and a virgo, though... but i guess it would depend on other chart stuff, too.

Re: What's With Virgos?
Sun, April 27, 2008 - 11:29 AMI actually started the conversation in the classily titled "virgo society," because v is for virgo requires the mod to add you... and i was too impatient. Hey... I'm a sag. that's just how it is.
anyway, the convo can be found here: virgosociety.tribe.net/thread...1c026cb
Some people have experienced the same stuff as us... but it doesn't seem like they're really as much into the conversation as we are. Dispassionate Virgos. :P -

Re: What's With Virgos?
Mon, April 28, 2008 - 2:17 AMyeah i had joined v is for virgo and the few times i asked their opinions on things it was weird...t
hough one time me and another girl did end up helping eachother out with our similar yet reverse situations. she was a virgo seeking advice about her sag boy and i am a sag who was seeking advice about my virgo boy.
i left it eventually though cuz i started to feel like i shouldnt be there cuz im not a virgo...hehe..
i find it interesting though, that they seemed uninterested. dont they have a reputation for analyzing and nitpicking and thinking thinking thinking?
maybe theyre still analyzing and thinking and just havent gotten back to you yet with the full report hehe -

Re: What's With Virgos?
Sun, April 27, 2008 - 2:05 AMyeah totally its fascinating how the gears are always turning in their minds, always thinking...and often cool shit. but then sometimes im like wow i wish i could turn the gears off for a little while so (i am thinking of someone in particular hehe) he can just relax for a while.
and i have found myself saying, i dont wanna know what you think, what do you feeeel?
sigh
i recently discovered in my trusty ole copy of linda goodmans love signs that virgos and sags are a 4-10 sun sign vibration. like pisces and sag. which means there is always tension. that explains while i sometimes feel the same kinda tension and frustrations as i have with the fishes.
sigh. -

Re: What's With Virgos?
Sun, April 27, 2008 - 11:34 AMand when you CAN get their minds to stop for a second, for them to stop worrying and creasing their eyebrows... the feeling of being able to do that for them is really kind of warm and fuzzy. maybe that's part of our attraction to them as well.
before i knew anything about astrology, i experienced this with a virgo guy i worked with, and my eventual HUGE crush on him kick-started one day in the break room when I said, "You always look so serious!" in an upbeat, friendly Sag way. He smiled and said, "Oh, you know, I have worries, I have concerns!"
It was so cute... he went from dour sourpuss to smiling and making fun of himself... and it made me feel so connected to him somehow, that I had (at least momentarily) pulled him outta that gray cloud.

Re: What's With Virgos?
Sun, April 27, 2008 - 11:41 AMi have a sort of love/hate thing with pisces, too... but it is never beyond friendship. i've never dated or been really interested in dating a pisces. but as friends, sometimes i think they're awesome, and sometimes i hate their guts. :P
however... my best and most enduring friendship is with a Virgo.
What I've noticed with Virgos (including my friend and the two who've broken my heart) is that when you need to send them written communication of any kind, even if they don't like what you're writing, they will take pains to give you a well-thought, thorough reply. I like that about them... probably because I myself am Virgo rising with Gemini Midheaven... but I like words, and I like people who take them seriously.... like VIRGOS! lol. -

Re: What's With Virgos?
Mon, April 28, 2008 - 2:36 AMOH MY GOODNESS! EXACTLY!
"What I've noticed with Virgos (including my friend and the two who've broken my heart) is that when you need to send them written communication of any kind, even if they don't like what you're writing, they will take pains to give you a well-thought, thorough reply. I like that about them..."
yes! this is so true!
i love that about this virgo boy ive been involved with for almost a year..
i have always been able to talk to him about what i am feeling about us, good or bad, and he'll listen and if im feelin weird he'll either lay my fears or insecurities to rest, or we'll talk things out if theres any issues/drama etc..and he'll still talk to me the next day and continue to be my friend - doesnt disappear or avoid me like others in the past have!
and oh man! last month we had BIG drama and i sent a really unpleasant email expressing how i felt about something (very shitty). it was harsh.
even though he was deliriously tired from a 3rd day in a row of 14 hour work days and i wrote the shittiest things in my message, he wrote me the longest most sincere message telling me how he felt and how much he cared etc etc etc
we worked it out...and it is seriously unlike anything else i have ever experienced. -

Re: What's With Virgos?
Sun, April 27, 2008 - 9:41 AMAll the Virgos I've ever been with have been FREAKS behind closed doors. :) Their pedantic ways make me laugh a lot; like having the money in their wallets all facing the same way and ordered by denomination. Eventually, though, it rubs them raw since they think their facade is fool proof. :)
Kinky devils, the lot of them.

AMEN- to that...!!! Luv the ability to 'release' them sexually....they respond very well... But after the session- they go right back to the furrowed brows and hyper critical-lity again.....
An astrology book i once read described them as feeling like thunder stikes when they meet us... but kinda not in a great way exactly......
lol
My Virgo wound up being on my Top 2 lit of all time- but the relationship wasnt particularly healthy or steady for either of us... of course i WAS much less stable and mellowed out than i am now... we're talking my mid20's.....
like i should be help accountable for anything before 35.................... lol

Re: What's With Virgos?
Wed, April 30, 2008 - 2:11 PMWhen the sun is in Virgo the little programs that people use will show SCORPIO, so Virgans or however they called were were SCORPIO. This is not only an error involving TWO SIGNS or two constellations, this is outrageous. Similarly people with Pisces ascending are made to believe they are CAPRICORN by people who cannot even spell the constellation.
I was born with sun in Scorpius, that is the sun was just above Antares, on Nov 28th, but my friend and penpal and astronomer Sai Baba was born with SUN IN LIBRA on November 23rd (sic). This is not a typo, I posted various NASA ephemeris during the years.
