The Pisces That Married The Sagg

topic posted Fri, August 17, 2007 - 12:00 PM by  Anouska
Hello,
I have been with a Sagg for 4 & 1/2 years now and I married him last year. I love him to bits. BUT our relationship is a total rollercoaster - its kind of nice because its interesting, kind of not because sometimes I just would love to be "normal" I have been reading some other posts and some things have roused my curiousity.....Hubby is a Sagg with Sagg rising, I am Pisces with Sagg rising. He can be insanely jealous, very clingy - wants to spend all of his time with me etc. He is very passionate and intense yet can be completely insensitive. I am very independant and crave space. I depend on him for sure but need to be able to "do it myself" to feel I have stood up and been counted. I am not jealous so find his jealousy hard to endure.
Pisces are known for their addictions and all or nothing attitudes. I dont drink (like maybe once or twice a year), I dont do drugs, I smoke however but feel I have moderation on that (addicted all the same *sigh*). Hubby doesnt drink much either, doesnt do drugs but smokes heaps and seems to increase this all the time, he is also very demanding in affection and frequency of sex.

Is it just me or were we meant to be the other way around? Can a Pisces and a Sagg make a marriage work or are we doomed from the get go?

        go to astro.com

click "Astrodienst Services" on the left side

        click "Astro Click Portrait"

Follow the instructions to enter your birth place, birth date, and birth time.

You'll get a chart. It will show signs for planets...you should be able to tell what signs, and houses, your planets are in.

Are you familiar with astrology chart wheels?

If you don't know his birth time, or yours even, you can still find the moon, mars, venus, and mercury signs. Moon might not be completely accurate, and you can't know your rising sign without the birth time.

Here is a page that gives you instructions: www.cafeastrology.com/article...art.html

        Good luck!!

          Birth Chart

This birth chart report shows the positions of the planets for Anouska .

The Sun represents vitality, a sense of individuality and outward-shining creative energy.

          Sun in Pisces

As the twelfth and last sign of the zodiac, Pisces contains within itself a little experience of all the signs. This gives Pisces Suns the ability to identify with people from all walks of life—from all backgrounds—in some way. These individuals are not only changeable and adaptable, they have open minds and tremendous understanding. But Pisces itself is often misunderstood. Pisces Suns may spend a good portion of their lives yearning for understanding, and the other part in a state of divine discontent. Suffering is sometimes glamorized in the Piscean world.

Sun in Pisces people are frequently pegged as wishy-washy, but this is all a matter of opinion. What you will find behind a vaguely directionless, spacey manner is a deep person with real dreams. Their dreams are more than getting that picket fence or making it up the corporate ladder. Pisces are tuned in to a higher purpose and their dreams transcend the individual. A deep love for humanity, and compassion that knows no bounds is found with this placement of the Sun. Pisceans are not known to be cutthroat business types, nor are they given to throwing themselves out into the world in an aggressive manner. But make no mistake about it, Pisces can be extraordinarily successful when given the chance to express themselves. The arts, marketing, music, teaching, drama, healing arts...these are all fields in which Pisces can find expression. Their imagination, attunement to humanity, and remarkable intuition endow them with enviable gifts of insight and creativity.

Pisces is a sensitive sign—both sensitive to criticism and sensitive to others' feelings. Easily touched by human suffering, at least in theory, Pisces wouldn't hurt a fly. They believe in people, are deeply hurt by compassionless human behavior, and have a hard time saying no. Harsh realities are avoided either through escapist behavior or self-delusion; but every now and again reality does raise its ugly head, and hits Pisces over the head. This is a sad time indeed. Pisces retreats into their own world, self-pitying and giving pep talks to themselves ("I will never trust again!"). Rest assured, though, that these periods are rather short-lived and even useful. Pisces seems to derive energy from their (generally short) bouts of self-pity. They come back stronger, with a spring in their step, ready to face the world again, and just as, if not more, compassionate and trusting as they were before. Some might even wonder if Pisces finds pleasure in suffering. Sometimes this is the case, but most of the time, Pisces pulls a lot of creative energy from sadness. Pisces is the poet or artist with angst, although this trait is often more apparent with Moon in Pisces.

Some find Pisces' tendency to be late for appointments, spaced out behavior, and absent-mindedness amount to irresponsibility. Pisces would be shocked to know this, however. Who me? Pisces wonders. Irresponsible? Pisces Suns absolutely care—their love knows no bounds—but their retreats from ordinary life (whether they are as simple as daydreams or actual departures) that they so seem to need every now and again are not always understandable to no-nonsense signs, such as Virgo or Aries. Many Pisces seem almost allergic to things like shopping lists, maps, directions, and instructions, and for some brave souls, even watches — they prefer to feel their way through life than to follow some plan. We find plenty of artists, poets, and musicians with Sun (and other personal planets) in Pisces. Piscean themes are woven throughout the songs of Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins and Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, for example.

          Short description:

She is compassionate and sentimental. She likes isolated occupations: administration, archives, history. Spirit of self-sacrifice.

Weaknesses: tendency to be led astray, lack of experience or inability to apply experience practically. Lethargy, over-sensitivity and emotionalism.

          Pisces ascendant Sagittarius

          Sun in II

You take pride in what you own, and have a strong drive for security. You have staying power, and you hate to let others down once you've made a promise. Avoid over-identifying with what you have. Concentrate on proving your worth through your strong value system and your incredible ability to stick with things and with people. Take pride in the solid and secure foundations that you build, as well as the lasting relationships you aim to maintain, while being careful to avoid possessiveness. You seek a safe and secure job, you satisfy your needs, which are substantial. You may be given to spending money impulsively.

          254 Conjunction Sun - Venus

Social relationships are extremely important to you. You are generally charming with aneasy-going manner. It is generally quite important to you that you are personally popular, to come across in a pleasant way, and to be liked and appreciated. Sometimes, vanity is part of the package. Venus is a peace-making, harmony-loving planet, and those with Sun conjunct Venus do their best to seek peace and harmony. You are diplomatic and a veritable expert at smoothing over (and sometimes glossing over) problems. You are openhanded with others, tolerant and accepting. When expressed negatively, you can be superficial and two-faced, and you can be very much tied up with appearances—your own, and sometimes others'. You might be too agreeable, too pleasant (at the expense of honesty), and downright lazy at times. You have a fine eye for style and enjoy pleasing surroundings. You generally dress well and enjoy a certain amount of luxury. You are gracious, romantic, and sometimes romantically impulsive. You tend to rely on the power of attraction to bring people to you, rather than aggressively pursuing love interests. There is some vanity involved here—you are most attracted to people who express interest in you, or who respond well to your charms! You are not the type of person who overtly pursues people who appear to be indifferent to you. You are not competitive in the aggressive sense of the word, and you are not someone who loves a good chase. Instead, you work your charms and draw people to you. Your ability to attract others (Venus) is very much tied up with your ego (Sun). Because Venus rules all things feminine, both sexes with this aspect tend to be quite attractive.

          220 Conjunction Sun - Mars

You are enterprising and have powerful stores of energy that you can draw upon when needed. You respond to problems or challenges with a spirited and enthusiastic confidence that is admirable. You are naturally competitive, and this trait is generally well-received by others simply because it is unforced, unaffected, and sincere. You truly believe in fair play, and you seem to be in love with life. When you are expressing competitiveness and courage, it's easy for others to smile and accept these traits as positive ones rather than being rubbed the wrong way. You have good physical vitality. Although competitive, you are not naturally combative. You may enjoy sports or games that are competitive, but not violent. Breaking the rules of a competitive game is particularly upsetting to you. You are more able than most to control your desires, aggressions, and instincts. You know how to be fair, and you expect others to be fair. As such, sneaky behaviors, uncontrolled impulses, violence, and rage are offensive to you.

          -14 Square Sun - Neptune

You have a desire to be something special or to experience something more than the ordinary. You are a day-dreamer and idealist. It is easy for you to trust others, even (and perhaps especially) people who might seem from the outside looking in as unsavory types. You are looking to identify with something beyond what is normally expected of people. You may have had a childhood that didn't help you direct or define your life. Perhaps the early family life was lacking in supervision or clearly defined rules. A father figure may have been absent or distant and ineffective. You may have a glorified image of your father. Whether the image is very positive or very negative (or if it swings between these extremes), the image is not very clear or rational. Whatever the case may be, you struggle with defining who you are. You might gravitate towards the "wrong people", or get in with the "wrong crowd" in an attempt to define who you are. You might be susceptible to being taken advantage of by others, especially by men or authority figures. You may be easily led astray by peculiar desires or self-destructive habits. In order to add a greater-than-ordinary dimension of experience to your life that helps you to feel special and important, you might be attracted to Neptune-ruled behaviors, such as secret affairs, drugs, or other escapist behaviors. In some way, you may feel a strong urge to glamorize your role in the world. There can be some confusion about the past (such as remembering childhood experiences in ways that are far removed from reality), and a tendency to daydream about being someone more "important" than you feel you are. You may struggle with early conditioning that made you feel tossed aside or neglected in some way, and certainly not directed or supported. You are very sensitive, especially with regards to any real or imagined blows to your ego. If the natal chart shows a strong sense of reality and a robust mind (Mercury and Saturn well-placed, for example), the negative interpretations of this aspect are less extreme. Still, you are likely to recognize at some point in your life that you have a tendency to engage in escapist and self-destructive fantasies and/or habits. It is useful to be able to connect these behaviors with their probable source, which is likely to be a weakly-defined ego and identity in childhood.

          -34 Square Sun - Ascendant

She can face conflicts in life due to a projection of character that doesn't match what is on the inside. Misrepresentation of the self is frequent. She must strive to understand how others perceive her and work on presenting a more accurate persona to the world, or she will rub people the wrong way or feel unrecognized and misunderstood.

The Moon represents the emotional responses, unconscious pre-destination, and the self-image.

          Moon in Taurus

Familiarity is important to Lunar Taureans. These people are earthy and strong-willed. They feel with their senses and they are pretty much rooted in their ways. They revel in material comforts--in fact, building a solid and comfortable home and foundation helps to keep them feeling safe and content.

It isn't wise to try to push Lunar Taureans into doing anything, but once they have made a commitment, they're persevering. There's a steadiness to this position of the Moon that is comforting to those close to them. But the conservative streak in these natives can be maddening to more progressive personalities. They tend to go out of their way to avoid "messy" or unpredictable situations, crises, and emotional displays. Instead, they focus on creating a reliable and secure life around them. In relationships, Lunar Taureans may not easily recognize their partner's need for change, growth, or emotional stimulation.

Moon in Taurus natives are generally very romantic. Their affections are strong, deep, and unwavering. They are sentimental and warm. Since Taurus is a practical earth sign, the placement of the Moon in this sign suggests an ability to protect themselves and their own interests. They will rarely make a move without first determining that it is safe and that there's something in it for them. Generally, Taurus Moon people have reliable instincts. They are very much tied to the physical world, and they often have a particularly well-developed sense of smell. Relationships with people born with this position of Mars are often quite enduring. Many Mars in Taurus people hang onto their mates, even in the face of serious conflict. Taurus is a fixed sign, so break-ups don't happen easily.

There is a serenity to them that is calming. In fact, it takes a lot to really get to them. However, they do get off-center every once in a while. They are not the most adaptable people when their own routine is interrupted, for example. Though some Lunar Taureans might be considered anal, most simply have a stubborn streak that keeps them rather resistant to change. Rarely are they spontaneous sorts. Uncomfortable with surprises, these natives value stability. Their needs are strong but quite simple at the same time--they love the "good things" in life. The world of the five senses is all-important to these natives. Their love of stability and steadiness can make them slaves to routine. However, they are loyal and capable people.

          Short description:

Sweetness itself. Convinced of their ideas and strong-willed. She is foresighted and willful. She knows how to trust. She appreciates all the good things in life. She appreciates and protects Nature.

Weaknesses: excesses in pleasure, laziness, sensuality, thoughtlessness.

          Moon in IV

She likes family life, peace and quiet: she likes to stay at home, surrounded by loved ones, in agreeable circumstances. Positively influenced by the mother.

          271 Sextile Moon - Venus

You are generally amiable and project a soft and yielding manner. You possess natural charm and you are highly imaginative and sympathetic. You can make an excellent mediator and go-between. You are keenly aware of your need for relationships and for intimacy. You have a well-developed respect for qualities typically associated with the feminine. People appreciate you for your tender heart and friendly, diplomatic disposition. You should enjoy a good measure of personal popularity and success in your life. Although generally considered "lucky" with relationships and with money, this is less about luck than it is about a certain level of inner peace and positive energy that attracts pleasant situations. At times you can be complacent, downright lazy, and over-indulgent in the "pleasures" of life. However, you are a peace-maker at heart and have an unusual ability to help and heal others. You are gracious and warm.

          -81 Opposition Moon - Midheaven

She has an irresolute nature, with sudden changes of humor. She is unstable and does not follow through on her own objectives. This instability shows itself not only in professional life but also in love life and friendships.

Mercury represents communication, Cartesian and logical spirit.

          Mercury in Aquarius

Not necessarily loud or flamboyant, but she often has a quiet way of stirring others up. Delights in exposing what she deems biases in others' way of thinking. Very quick to contradict others, and to offer a different perspective, she enjoys intellectual debates. Amazing powers of observation, and a quirky way of looking at the world. Humorous and interesting. Loves practical jokes and raising eyebrows.

          Mercury in II

Intelligence geared towards ways of making money, becoming rich. All methods are good, sometimes she is on the borderline of honesty, with a tendency to be fraudulent.

          97 Sextile Mercury - Neptune

She can put down in writing everything that her imagination and intuition dictates.

          77 Trine Mercury - Pluto

She has a great sense of observation and quickly grasps the situation. She is crafty, subtle and critical.

          133 Sextile Mercury - Ascendant

She is intelligent, with quick and lively reflexes. She is preoccupied by her circle, likes to exchange ideas with her friends, but also with strangers. Of an open nature, she goes out to others.

Venus represents an interest for emotions and values, exchange and sharing with others.

          Venus in Pisces

Venus in Pisces people project themselves as dreamy, soft-hearted partners. Everything about the way they flirt promises a lovely time. Theirs is an elusive charm -- they are sweetly playful, a little moody, and perhaps a little irregular. They appreciate romance and poetry, and they prefer to "feel out" both you and the relationship you share, so don't expect too much planning ahead. Their sensitivity can be a little misleading at times. Yes, they are sensitive folk, but lovers may find it maddening that this sensitivity is not only directed at them, but towards all of mankind. Venus in Pisces men and women want you to know that their love is unconditional. They are unimpressed by your status, and love and accept you for all that you are inside. They love the underdog and are attracted to wayward folks, or those in need of a little help. With their romantic view of the world, they can be unreasonably attracted to states of suffering and martyrdom, so they easily get into the role of saving someone, or being saved. Unlike Venus in Libra, which thrives on equality, Venus in Pisces is actually turned on by inequality! They can be rather confusing and hard to pin down as they feel their way through their relationships. As much as they may want to, they find it hard to commit. Many do end up committing, however, at least on the surface.

Pleasing Venus in Pisces involves enjoying tender moments and romantic times with them. You won't always be able to count on them. In fact, you can be sure they will stretch the truth every once in a while. But remember they do this because they fear they might hurt you, and they can't bear to cause you any heartache. Try to understand them, although that's never an easy task considering the fact that they don't always know themselves. And, truth is, some Venus in Pisces privately have a love affair going with the idea of being misunderstood. Try to put up with their apparent lack of direction in the relationship -- they are so receptive and open to all possibilities that it is hard for them to commit to any one thing, idea, or even person. These intriguing partners will reward you with a love that is accepting and comes as close to unconditional as humans can get.

          Venus in II

There is a link between emotional life and money. She is helped by friends or by a person to whom she is emotionally linked. Takes advantage of friendships for professional success. Activities connected with beauty, aesthetics, finery. Danger: big spending.

          1 Trine Venus - Midheaven

She has good taste, has an affectionate nature, her love is warm and deep, based on intellectual understanding and common tastes. Her friends are useful in furthering her career.

Mars represents the desire for action and physical energy.

          Mars in Pisces

Mild-tempered and gentle, these guys and gals move through life in a manner that can hardly be considered direct. Mars is the planet of action and assertion, and Pisces is a passive sign that rarely asserts itself in a direct fashion. So the placement of Mars in Pisces is an unusual combination. Sometimes prone to feelings of guilt about their anger, and difficulties with asserting themselves, Mars in Pisces individuals seem to "go with the flow". This is certainly not a very active position for Mars, and natives will often let life "happen" instead of trying to control their life direction. This is a charming position, as individuals with Mars in Pisces don't appear like they are capable of harming a fly. However, those that don't find creative expression for this energy can stir up a storm through indirect aggression.

Mars in Pisces people are not averse to playing games to get what they want, although even they don't always know exactly what they do want! Their desires are changeable and moody, and it's hard to really know where these natives stand on any particular issue. Alternatively, some Mars in Pisces people do take a stand on issues that are Piscean in nature, making compassion and love their mission. Energy levels fluctuate a lot, coming in bursts of activity followed by inertia. Because it can be difficult to align this ebbing and flowing of energy in the day-to-day world as it is, finding a job that supports this may be tough. The happiest Mars in Pisces individuals are those that have a creative outlet that allow them to express their desires of the moment, their compassion—and even their anger—freely and imaginatively. An example of Mars in Pisces is Bono, lead singer of U2, who seems to have found the perfect outlet for his creativity through his music, and as a spokesperson for love and compassion.

          Mars in II

She undertakes daring and dangerous enterprises. She has lots of initiative. She works hard for her money, of which she earns a lot. She is a spendthrift, money comes and goes. She is always ready to start from scratch in the event of a setback. Great willingness and enthusiasm.

          28 Trine Mars - Uranus

She possesses exceptional energy. She is impulsive but bold. She takes on risky enterprises for the good of the community, with all the energy she possesses. She has a great need of her independence, likes her freedom of action.

          -77 Square Mars - Neptune

          -48 Square Mars - Ascendant

          458 Conjunction Jupiter - Saturn

          Saturn represents contraction and effort.

          Saturn in Libra

Recognized for her seriousness, moral qualities. She is respectable, conscientious.

Weaknesses: not open to new ideas.

          Saturn in IX

She is studious, patient, rigorous, austere. She likes reflection, meditation. She carries out all the plans she makes. She is a stay-at-home.

Uranus represents individual liberty, egoistic liberty.

          Uranus in Sagittarius

She is shy, delicate but proud, bold and lively.

          Uranus in XI

Her freedom is important to her, even with regard to friends. These are extravagant, original, intellectual. They are not from the same background and have a different up-bringing.

          Pisces ascendant Sagittarius

          Ascendant in Sagittarius

The world is filled with adventure, new things to experience, and, most of all, hope, with this Ascendant. There is an unmistakable faith and enthusiasm with Sagittarius rising people. Grand schemes, big promises, and a willingness to explore and experiment are themes, although follow-through is not a strong characteristic of Sagittarius. These individuals are somewhat restless and often active people. They always seem to be looking for something that is just out of grasp -- and many do this their entire lives. They can be quite direct at times, yet they are likable enough to forgive for their faux-pas. Most have a lot to say and offer. Their insights and opinions are usually interesting and exciting, although sometimes lacking in details.

Sagittarius rising people have opinions about everything, and they just love telling others exactly what they are. Not all people with this position are outgoing folk, but they all have a way of moving about that at least exudes a certain level of confidence. Some might even call them naive or overly optimistic. Even the quiet ones don't shrink from life and from experience. One of the most obvious and endearing traits of Sagittarius rising is their willingness to keep up a sense of humor. Even when they're feeling low, they manage to find humor in life and have fun with whatever they do have. The placement of Sagittarius' ruling planet, Jupiter, will give more clues to how they go about expressing themselves. Jupiter in Capricorn, for example, might give a more sarcastic approach, but underneath there lies an unmistakable hope and spirit for living.

          House VII in Gemini

Have regular check-ups on the heart and arteries.

i see you already know your rising signs, so ignore that part. But the Moon, Mars, and Venus are important in how you relate to people on an emotional and physical level, and they say a lot about your desires, what type of mate you look for, and what type of mate you are attracted to.

I have had some serious crushes on Pisces in the past, and I am a sagg. I almost think that the difficulty is mostly on the Pisces and the sagg tends to almost be oblivious to the challenges of the relationship.

that's interesting and reflects my experience so far. I am a Pisces dating a Sag for four months now. Never expected to like him as much as I do. But he is great. He's just fun, and stimulating. I get what you are saying -- I am constantly wounded by his inconsiderate nature -- he interrupts when I am talking, sometimes I feel like he is not listening, and he has made jokes about things I am very sensitive about. BUT he never means to hurt me, and he never acts out of malice, and I know this. I still experience the pain, but what's great about Sag is that you can tell them, as long as you keep it simple and don't make it a drawn out emotional "we have to talk" kind of thing, and they do feel sorry. They don't mean to hurt. It's just something about being a half man, half beast, I guess.

However I think it is more complicated than that. In this relationship, I have a sense that I am the one who has more power, more control, and is in a better position. My sag is ambitious but when life is not going well he really lets it get him down. As positive as Sagittarians are said to be, I am the one who has more faith in life and other people and the course of things. And I am also the one who has my life together, and I sense that he likes that about me and wants more of it in his life.

I have to say, my Sag does seem oblivious to the challenges of our relationship. And he can be brusque. But being a PIsces, I absorb his nature and I end up doing and saying some hostile and insensitive things to him. And then, his vulnerability is exposed. And I immediately mend him and reassure him that I think he is a great guy and that he fascinates me, although sometimes he irritates me.

Because I am the one who ends up hurting, I tend to exert more control over the relationship...I am mindful that we shouldn't spend too much time together, and that we need to give each other space. He is not so mindful, and it baffles me sometimes, because I don't understand how he can't see that we need space in our relationship. He is always reaching out to me. Which I like and it makes me feel good. But I guess what I am trying to say is I definitely find myself being the "adult" in this relationship. I have to exert more control to avoid getting intentionally hurt by my well-meaning and loving Sag.

I am curious, what has it been about the Pisces in your life that attracted you?

I think Pisces and Sagittarius can be a great combo...it helps that my moon in Aquarius and his is Taurus, plus his Venus is in Scorpio and my Mars in in Cancer, Venus in Pisces.

    Anouska:

No doubt you are independent and crave space because of your Sag rising, but Pisces also have a tendency to be loners and need time to chill and decompress.

I wonder if your nature is not actually also your Pisces absorbing his Sagittarian qualities, making you more independent...are you like that in every relationship?

Also, I described my current relationship with a Sag below, and how I have to take control in the relationship. I think that a Piscean would be better at exhibiting control and moderation and wisdom than a Sagittarius. Just my opinion from my dealings with the horses. I'm not saying we operate on a higher level of consciousness, but, yeah I guess I am saying that.

Pisces are natural hypnotists and good with social influence, and female Pisces especially will be aware of their power as a woman. However, purposefully using your power to manipulate is not healthy for you or for your partner, and its not a healthy way to compensate for being hurt. Im not saying you are doing this, but be cautious that it doesnt get the better of you, since there is a predisposition towards that in your signs.
Sagg are adventurous, but they will also be open to going along with your suggestions to a point. Saggs like to get along, unless they have reason to consider you an ideological opponent.
There are also 3 degrees of Sagg, each one slightly different. I might almost guess yours in in the middle or second degree from what little you have said. When is his birthday?

His birthday is December 10. The second, you are right. What do you make of that?

Magenta. I am not trying to accuse you or point the finger. All signs have their positive and negative traits, and their own life lessons to learn. Its not a matter of better or worse.

However, being manipulative and exercising that ability to soothe your ego after being hurt is not healthy. Its nothing to be proud of either. Its a character flaw, not a virtue to brag about. Being responsible is one thing, but using your influence to regain a sense pride after feeling hurt by offhand comments is something you should stop doing if you care about your partner.

Im not saying you should find somebody else. Im saying you should find a better way of dealing with him. Saggs are not that "sensitive". They are compassionate though, but they themselves tend to be more on the tough and athletic side and this applies emotionally as well. I know that when I am reading or writing, Im not always interested enough in what my partner is saying to stop writing or doing whatever I am doing. When my mind is on a roll, I go with it and do my best to ignore stuff that doesnt currently have my attention. However, when I understand that my partner is feeling hurt, then suddenly I DO become a good listener, and apply patience and understanding. I dont respond well to bitchiness, especially when I dont understand what I did wrong. I respond much better to honest communication. State the obvious, or at least what YOU think is obvious, without playing coy or being subtle. Now there is more to being honest than just telling the truth. You can say something that is true in a way that is intentionally hurtful, or in a way that obfuscates the whole story. Just say how you feel without putting any spin on it, and this way you can appeal to a Saggs sense of compassion without even asking.

Im not trying to point the finger at just you though. We are all individuals, but I am well aware that being a Sagg encourages a LONG list of our own character flaws.

Second degree Sagg tends to be the least organized, most happy-go-lucky, and has the most difficulty keeping things together.

pisces are great listeners...that is one of the things my sag first said he liked about me...i liked to listen to his stories.

i don't mind it. i listen. i listen to everyone. i listen to learn, i listen to soothe, i listen to understand, i listen to be polite.

sometimes, i wish the sagittarian race would be a little more piscean and just LISTEN. And not interrupt. it is my pet peeve. I so often feel ignored by my sag.

as i said, i know he doesn't MEAN it, and when he realizes it, he comes around.

i don't take offense to what you are saying, sentience, but i wonder if we are having communication issues...cause i don't really see how i am being manipulative in what i described.

of course, i am a pisces and i wouldn't necessarily "see" it.

that i sometimes get hostile and insensitive with my sag...i dont do this intentionally...i see this as more of a reflection of his behavior towards me. we pisces in relationships absorb the natures of our partners in a way no other sign does. its not a conscious thing, it just happens. i don't mean to wound him.

as for honest communication...how many times in a week can i say as straightforward as possible "it hurts me when you interrupt me, i'd really like if you would listen to my story, then we can talk about what you want to talk about..." it just seems like i'm begging for him to tell me "you're so sensitive."

i dunno...pisces and "honest communication" doesn't always happen very easily. what can i say.

"that i sometimes get hostile and insensitive with my sag...i dont do this intentionally...i see this as more of a reflection of his behavior towards me."

That is going to be problem. He is blunt and impulsive and comes off being hurtful when he doesnt mean to be. You take offense and take it to an emotional level. He senses the hostility, doesnt understand why and now you have disagreement or a fight. Your Sagg might NOT see your behavior as a reflexion of his. As far as he can tell, your just raining on his parade for no reason. He might be aware that he has been slacking off, but the connection might not be so obvious.

When you talked about "taking control", I sensed that there was some emotional hostility attached to it, also considering the context and timing of when you mentioned it in your description of the conversation. Being manipulative is what Pisces do, unless you intentionally overcome this.

Also, I suspect you are not being insensitive with your Sagg so much as being over sensitive. To communicate with a Sagg, dont rely on conveying a mood in hopes that he will get it. You have to use logic and state the obvious verbally. Also, try making a game out of it. Learn how to poke fun at your Sagg. Approach it with a little more lite heartedness, and learn to take comments with a grain of salt.

I am learning all that. And I appreciate your input. It really helps! You centaurs are fascinating creatures...

as i said...learning to be less sensitive...learning to let those little things go. this relationship has put into relief how much mental and emotional energy i use on the smallest things.

today i told him that i wanted to see the lunar eclipse tomorrow morning, and i wanted to use his binoculars, so i would need to go to his house. he said "i bought a shirt today." a couple months ago, i would have exploded. a few weeks ago, i would have become silent and simmered in anger and given him the cold shoulder. this time, i said, "did you hear what I just said about the eclipse? i want to watch it tomorrow." and he said, yes, i heard. and we talked about the logistics of getting together for the eclipse.

i tried not to have a major attitude. i tried to be as even as possible. i think i am getting better at it.

any chance i can learn, grow, or change for the better, i'll take it.

                thanks sentience :-)

Im a Sag and I was married to a Pisces for 14 years. We are no longer together and sometimes I wonder if its the idea that water signs are always trying to put out the fire signs fire! Could be wrong....but at any rate...I highly doubt I'll ever go out with another Pisces again! Or even another Water sign for that matter!

my experience with Pisces female of the species is that yes , they can be very emotionally manipulative ... worse than any other water sign .... Libra is the worst of the worst with the manipulating but ...they're close ....

we have to be...we are very emotionally aware, in tune, and sensitive. we get hurt easily. it's a delicate balance between managing hurt and manipulating with malice. I suppose what Sentience is saying above is that it's better to just be with a partner who does not unwittingly cause you hurt, than to be with that person and have to engage in an emotional dance with them, or perhaps, play games, to protect yourself. I suppose there is some merit in this. But I am enjoying my Sagittarius so much -- and am also learning when to let my sensitivity affect me and when just to let things go and move on. It's a useful exercise for me, I think.
